The history of Ernest C Anderson Gravel Inc.
 

Ernest C Anderson Gravel was founded in 1944 when Ernest started to haul gravel to area farmers in a 4 1/2 yard truck loaded by hand with scoop shovels.  In 1948 Ernest purchased a new truck, in 1950 his first Caterpillar Dozer, and a scraper.  In 1957 he purchased his first rock crusher and the business has expanded from there.  Ernest J Anderson started working with his father at a young age and took over managing the operation when

Ernest C. Anderson passed away in 1986.  The operation is now run by Ernest J. and his children, Tim, Steve & Arlene.  Three of Ernest J. Anderson's grandchildren also work for the business, Austin, Alex, and Colby.  Ernest C Anderson Gravel Inc continues to supply and deliver quality aggregate materials, such as Class 5 Gravel, Washed Sand, Landscape Rock, Black Dirt, Mason Sand, and Fill Material to the greater Detroit Lakes area
